Wajiha Syed

Career

Wajiha Syed began her career in 2007 at CSC within the insurance division, where she was involved in assignments related to international ALM governance as well as actuarial and tax controls.
From 2010 to 2016, she subsequently held successive roles at the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority, serving as Insurance Controller and Supervision Specialist, where she gained robust experience in overseeing insurance entities and participated in Solvency II negotiation work.
She then joined PwC in 2016 as Director of the Regulatory Centre of Excellence (CoE), where she contributed to developing regulatory expertise within the Financial Services teams.
After serving as Director of Public Affairs & Compliance at Wakam from 2019 to 2020, she joined BNP Paribas Cardif in 2023, where she successively held positions as Head of Prudential Standards and then Director of Internal Audit.
In February 2026, she was appointed Acting Chief Compliance Officer and member of the Executive Committee of BNP Paribas Cardif.

Education

Wajiha Syed holds a degree from the École Nationale d’Assurances (ENAss), specializing in finance, and is an associate member of the Institute of Actuaries.
