2021 has been a very eventful year, all around the world. Our video “Highlights 2021” brings you an overview of the events and innovations that marked the year for BNP Paribas Cardif, in the 33 countries where the brand is established.
A positive impact
BNP Paribas Cardif is working on the transition towards a more sustainable world, both as an investor, and as a committed actor in society. The insurer is promoting the energy and ecological transitions, and supporting companies in their processes of adapting to the world of the future.
To achieve this objective, 1.2 billion euros were invested in preserving ecosystems, reducing inequalities, and the energy transition, by BNP Paribas Cardif in 2020. And in 2021, our joining the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance, supported by the United Nations, has taken this environmentally responsible approach even further.
Making insurance ever more accessible
In line with its mission of: “making insurance more accessible”, BNP Paribas Cardif has signed new partnerships and launched innovative insurance products.
In eight European countries, BNP Paribas Cardif has joined forces with BackMarket and i-Surance, to make insurance more accessible to buyers of refurbished mobile devices.
Throughout the year, BNP Paribas Cardif has distinguished itself through its innovations which have helped facilitate policyholders’ customer experience:
• A chatbot, via a mobile instant messaging app, launched in Brazil and Colombia which simplifies the process for policyholders when they are reporting a claim.
• In Japan, underwriting conditions have been relaxed so as to make creditor insurance accessible to people who have already had cancer.
• In Chile, an ecosystem of services is now provided to our policyholders who take out home insurance, in order to assist them in their daily lives.
Thanks to innovative initiatives, BNP Paribas Cardif teams all around the world have received numerous awards for their work, and the services provided to clients.
