Appointment: Nathalie Doré named new Chief Digital & Acceleration Officer of BNP Paribas Cardif

16 February 2018

After three years as the CEO of L’Atelier BNP Paribas in San Francisco, Nathalie Doré is joining BNP Paribas Cardif, the insurance subsidiary of BNP Paribas, as Chief Digital & Acceleration Officer. She will drive the company’s transformation as it deploys its business development plan for 2020, which centres in particular on digitization.

To execute this transformation, Nathalie Doré will focus on strengthening several key levers:

  • An open innovation ecosystem, notably working with startups through the C. Entrepreneurs fund managed by Cathay Innovation for BNP Paribas Cardif;

  • A research and prototype launch programme developed at the Cardif Lab’, the company’s innovation lab;

  • Knowledge management and BNP Paribas Cardif partnerships with the academic community[1].

She will also lead the Change and Innovation Management community within the BNP Paribas Group’s International Financial Services core business.

Nathalie Doré succeeds Grégory Desfosses, who has joined BNP Paribas Personal Finance. She reports to Stanislas Chevalet, BNP Paribas Cardif Chief Operating Officer, Transformation and Development.

“I’m delighted to welcome Nathalie back to BNP Paribas Cardif, a company she knows very well. Her knowledge of the insurance industry, her background – especially the past three years on the West coast of the United States – along with her digital expertise and dynamic mindset, will allow our company to accelerate digitization in the 36 countries where we operate. The wealth and diversity of Nathalie’s experience will enable her to build on the assets established by Gregory Desfosses and his teams, deepening our digital culture and driving the development of the innovative services that BNP Paribas Cardif creates to better satisfy our partners and their clients. I have no doubt that she will play a decisive role in making BNP Paribas Cardif an increasingly digital enterprise,” said Stanislas Chevalet, Chief Operating Officer, Transformation and Development, BNP Paribas Cardif.

Nathalie Doré, 42, holds a French master’s degree (DESS) in marketing and a BA in Business from Dublin City University (Ireland). She began her career in marketing in 1998 with CETELEM before joining L’Atelier BNP Paribas in 2001 as head of events and subsequently head of international business development. In 2010 she became global head of digital marketing and e-business Europe for BNP Paribas Cardif. In this role she helped create Cardif Lab’, the insurer’s innovation lab. Nathalie has since 2014 been CEO of L’Atelier BNP Paribas in San Francisco, contributing to initiatives by the BNP Paribas Group and its clients to capture and accelerate innovation. At the same time she led strategic projects such as Finlab with Bank of the West. Nathalie Doré is also an ambassador of French Tech.
