Brazil celebrates 10th anniversary

The 20 million insurance contracts that BNP Paribas Cardif currently manages in Brazil are distributed by over 30 partners in several sectors: household appliances and entertainment electronics retailing, with Magazine Luiza, Citylar and Ponto Frio; general retailing, with Carrefour; automobiles, with Renault and Banco Volkswagen ; financial services, with BV Financeira (car loans), Bradesco bank and BNP Paribas Personal Finance.

 

"Business began accelerating in 2006," says Alexandre Boccia, Head of Cardif in Brazil. "The partnership signed with Magazine Luiza led to the formation of a joint venture, LuizaSeg, which pioneered extended warranties in particular. These products are a major success in Brazil today." Celebrating its 10th year in the country, BNP Paribas Cardif has expanded its portfolio, adding partners like Toyota, Caixa Economica, Finasa and Grupo Electra.
