Cardif Brazil celebrated its 10th anniversary
29/09/2010
Throughout these past 10 years, Cardif Brazil became a leader in the distribution of products, such as financial protection, extended warranty, homeowner and personal accidents insurance.
In its history, 2005 deserves special attention. It was then that the company signed a partnership with the retailer Magazine Luiza network and created a joint-venture called Luizaseg.
Another highlight in the company's history was the launch, in 2008, of Autofácil insurance. The product was developed to serve a share of the market that did not have auto insurance, about 70 percent of the fleet, according to data collected by SUSEP (Private Insurance Superintendence). Autofácil is now seen, day after day, as an alternative to automobile owners who have never bought an auto insurance, primarily due to the high cost of the traditional options.
For the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Cardif in Chile, Eric Lombard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cardif, visited Brazil and said that "In Brazil, there is a variety of distribution channels, and the retail one is very successful. We want to develop this approach further in Europe and Asia, where this channel is not fully exploited"
