Cardif attended a business conference in sponsorship with Nikkei

For its 10th anniversary, Cardif Japan took part in a business conference organized by the end of 2010 by Nikkei, one of the major daily business and economic newspaper, on the topic: "New frontier of retail banking".

The event gathered bankers, financial actors, insurers and was an opportunity for Cardif to enhance its original bancassurance model.

Jun Aoki, country manager of Cardif in Japan, presented Cardif's experience in bancassurance and opportunities to develop bancassurance in Japan  as one of the guest speakers.

In his speech, he insisted on the following points :

  • Bancassurance is not just selling insurance products through banks; it has a high potential business that will play an important role for the development of retail banking.
  • As banks get opportunities to create contact with customers, they take advantage of this relation to gain a clearer understanding of their needs.
  • With the ability to offer products in alignment with the customer's values and lifestyle through different channels, retail banking will have significant business opportunities in the future.
