Education and beginnings:
Olivier Cortes is a graduate of French engineering school Ecole Centrale de Paris and also an ex-pupil of the prestigious graduate school Ecole Nationale d'Administration.
Career:
After a preliminary career in French government, Olivier Cortes joined BNP Paribas Assurance (which became BNP Paribas Cardif in 2011) in 2005 in order to set up a regulatory lobbying service.
He created subsidiaries in Algeria and Turkey in 2006. He was then appointed Head of the Northern Europe-North American region in 2007.
Today:
Olivier Cortes has been Chief Financial Officer of BNP Paribas Cardif since 2009. He is a member of the BNP Paribas Cardif Executive Committee since January 2012.
