Pierre de Villeneuve is an actuary and a graduate of the Institut de Science Financière et d'Assurances (ISFA) in Lyon.
A long history with Cardif
Pierre de Villeneuve has played an instrumental role in the development of Cardif since the founding of the insurance company in 1973, holding a series of key positions in various aspects of the insurance business.
Other responsibilities
A widely respected authority in the insurance industry, where he has spent his entire career, Pierre de Villeneuve has served as President of the Technical Committee and the Life Insurance Committee of the Fédération Française des Sociétés d'Assurances (French federation of insurance companies-FFSA) since1996.
In addition, he was President of the association of graduate actuaries of the ISFA (Institut de Science Financière et d'Assurances) from 1988-1991.
Personal
Pierre de Villeneuve was a member of the French national canoe/kayak team from 1967 to 1973. With his brother he won a bronze medal in the team slalom event at the 1969 world championships. He is also an avid skier and mountain hiker, both natural pursuits for this native of the Savoie region
